I had a ball! The same cast of characters from last year all showed up at the same places, including me! On Saturday (and Sunday this year) I got my favorite spot. In the opening line, right outside the doors where the artists and vendors come in and the guests go out to get in line. I got to say "Good Morning!" to the entire group before anything started! I love that!

I got to work the front of the Aspen line again this year and really enjoyed myself. Peter Steigerwald was there this year and that made it great. He has a subtle sense of humor and you have to pay attention to get it - it is worth it! Michael Turner was the same sincere, kind and wonderful superstar that he was last year (only this year he had all those DC credits behind him) . A new addition was Koi Turnbull. This man has the patience of a saint. He spent all three days doing sketches for people and he has fantastic skills!

Jim Lee was kind enough to autograph a few comics. I saw him in the pizza line at a local eatery and tried to buy him
lunch but he said he is on an expense account.(Darn!)
I also got to get in pictures with some other interesting people.
Ethan Van Scriver (Artist on Green Lantern)
John Cassaday (Artist on Astonishing X-Men)
In yellow is the sign that volunteers hold to signify that if you are not in line already then give up. However, in this picture I think John is slyly insulting me..........................cool.
Mark Waid (Writer of Fantastic Four and Legion
of Superheroes and a Big Guy at Top Cow [actually he is less of a big man now since he did one of the hardest things a human can do - lose weight....on purpose]) I really like him a lot. He presented at the Top Cow panel and when I met him at the door on Saturday morning he remembered me.
He also took time to talk to me when he signed Hunter Killer (buy this book!). I felt honored to meet him.
Gareb Shamus! And on the left in the black hat is Roy Cook (in charge of the volunteers). I believe at the time
Roy was thinking "OH NO! Don't upset the big boss! Oh please don't upset the big boss. The Chairman of Wizard Entertainment does not
need a bonehead like you to bother him." I could be wrong but that is my guess. Mr Shamus is a nice man. Roy does an excellent job with the volunteers.
Other folks I had fun with are pictured, too.
Erica Durance (Lois on Smallville) She is a sweetie and I truly enjoyed meeting her.
I don't know who this is but she went all the way in her costume and I love that! Lady Death! Check out the eyes!
Court Jester was there again! I went to the Friday night show and these guys are great live!
This is James. In my opinion he is the best
volunteer at the Con for the last two years. He has quiet leadership and motivates people. It works on me. In this particular picture, James is enjoying my cologne.
I finished the Con at the Aspen Booth. Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald were kind enough to let me behind the booth for photos. This is why I volunteer. I feel a part of something. When I am home in my little computer room, I get to feel a connection to the comics I like. Aspen rocks! Thanks Michael and Peter!
